Our Service provides 24- hour, 7- days a week Emergency and Non-Emergency ambulance transportation for all of Grundy County. We provide mutual aid for surrounding counties and are available for a wide variety of special events in our community.
Grundy County Ambulance provides transportation from Basic Life Support (BLS) to Advanced Life Support (ALS) transports. We provide in house electronic billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance companies using a secure encrypted connection and patient billing via paper bills. Our service will not use any information you submit to us for anything other than medically necessary purposes per our Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Policy.
Grundy County Ambulance Service is a member of the Missouri Ambulance Association. We are licensed by the Missouri Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. We have been awarded a certificate by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Division of Health Standards for recognition of commitments ABOVE and BEYOND state regulations for pediatric equipment and protocols to provide the best care to pediatric patients in the state May 13th, 2010.
Our ambulance service is a state licensed training entity for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) offering classes for those interested in the field of emergency medical services. Training Entity Director Mike Moore offers classes on a regular basis.
Grundy County Ambulance is located at the Emergency Services Safety Complex on 17th Street and Harris Ave. Staffing is comprised of 12 full time employees and 13 part time employees. We currently have 3 fully equipped ambulances and 1 reserve ambulance. We staff 2 (advanced life support) ambulances with 1 Paramedic and 1 EMT each and schedule 2 part time EMT employees for a 3rd call crew.
