What is emergency Management
Emergency management is creation of plans through which communities are able to increase capabilities to respond to disaster, Mitigate the effects of the disaster, and aid in the recovery process.
Emergency management also takes an active role in hazard mitigation to reduce active threats to our communities by analyzing threats and developing plans and procedures to eliminate as many threats as possible.
Emergency management also generally serves as the coordination point between local, state, and federal resources, as well as those brought in from private corporations and volunteer groups.
Our agency also is responsible for the EOC and its functions during an emergency event.
